#SayYesToTheWorld Traveling With Kids, It is Easier Than You Think

After having a kid in our life, we husband-wife were completely consumed in our parenting duties. Those initial days were very busy and hectic. I was trying to balance both, my work and an infant at home. Although my mother-in-law was with us to look after our few months old son, we both hardly had any free time. I once read that the best way to spell love is “T.I.M.E”. And we both were drained on this front. I knew it was a usual phase that every couple goes through after becoming parents, however, we both needed a break from our usual life.

We Planned The Perfect Getaway 
Then one day I read a post on traveling and reading this, I couldn't stop myself from forwarding this to my dear husband. The post was promoting new parents to go on vacations with small kids. As per the post, when kids are small and yet to join the school, this is the best time to explore the world with them. Realizing the fact, my husband planned a week-long travel but this time we were not alone. Our one and half year old boy was with us. Our plans and travel were completely focused on our toddler. Traveling with a toddler can be very intimidating. You never really know how he/she would react once you are out there (will they cry or shout or poop or throw up?). Thank God, we went ahead and booked our flight tickets. All my worries and apprehensions got busted after this trip. 

Monsoon Capital of India “Pune”
During that travel, we, husband-wife, got a chance to refresh our family and personal lives with enjoying a full week's vacation in Monsoon capital of India “Pune”. We went to a family friend's place there, and the first time I realized that a bit of TLC is needed in every relationship to keep it harmonious. Scientist says humans are pre-programmed to love green spaces of nature. There is something really special about being in nature; something magical that calms the depths of our souls like nothing else. Really, with so much greenery and good weather, our family Pune visit was awesomely wonderful. Roaming around in drizzling rain and enjoying the best of nature’s presence along with good friends, what can be better than that? Our visit included many places around Pune including beautiful Lavasa and Khandala.

Traveling Is Definitely the Best Time To Bond.
The best part of this exploration trek was my son's gleeful behavior throughout the trip. We normally feel young children may not remember the new things they discover during a trip but they do. Traveling teaches young kids many new things. They learn ways of the world. They learn how to be adaptable and they learn how to express themselves better. To my surprise, my toddler loved every bit of this travel. He was fine when we air traveled. He was absolutely cheery when we road traveled and he was even more elated when we walked in the rain of Lavasa. Traveling provides one of the best ways to take a break from the hustle and bustle of life. And during our Pune travel, we also got ample of time to give to our boy. I now feel traveling is definitely the best time to bond.

#SayYesToTheWorld With Kids 
I know, with kids comes a lot of exceptions and tough times, especially when you are at a new place. Howbeit, I feel a good planning can make your vacation an absolute bliss with the company of kids. Being open-minded in taking my toddler to new places, helped me realize that kids can be awesome vacation partners and a world travelers too. Better than grownups, kids express more openness for new people, new culture, and new surroundings. I have traveled many places with my young boy and all our trips were very pleasant. So, whether you decide a weekend getaway (which is what we planned), a short out-of-town trip or an adventure travel, please consider bringing your child or children with you. Don’t wait out until they are older. Moments like these could pass you by, so cherish it while you can. #SayYesToTheWorld and explore new places with your kids.

If I ask you when you last bought packaged drinking water last, I am sure you would not count it from long ago. Obviously, because gone are the days when we used to count water as a free goodie from nature for all of us. During Durgapuja festival I had to buy drinking water from many places which made me notice how the price of the same drinking water changes from one shop to another. Buying a one-liter bottle of a reliable brand from a general store cost me Rs. 20, while the same brand bottle of an equal amount of water filled inside a pizza hut store cost me RS. 50 on the same day. Vibhu and Web Series - Gullak is a cheering story

After watching Panchayat , I was again on a hunt for another web series that Vibhu (my 7-year-old boy) can also enjoy. Luckily I found one. It was again a neat and uncomplicated one. No abusive language, no inappropriate talks, and full of comedy, it was really fun to watch " Gullak " with Vibhu. Set in a small town in North India, this web series is about a middle-class Mishra family and their day-to-day struggles. Being a 90s kid, I have seen the craze for clay piggy banks, typically called Gullak. Be it any fair or festival, buying a clay piggy bank was a custom in families of North India (UP) during the early 90s. The Series is named Gullak as in the show, a clay piggy bank, is the narrator of the plot.
